Hello all,

As you can probably guess from he link above, I am a deviant artist. I've recently started doing more and more doodles and even trying my hand at some digital art. Its all very exciting! I've especially been enjoying fan art. If you have read previous posts you will know that I am a big lover of FanFiction and have now moved onto fan art. Here are some that I have done of late....

What are we thinking? Feed back would be great! And if you're a deviant art person your self than give me a shout because I would love to check out some of your stuff!

Hogwart house traits

I have looked up many hogwarts house trait descriptions and have tried to sum it up in my own words. So here goes...

HUFFLEPUFF!

Hufflepuff traits: Loyalty, dedication, hardworking, fair play and patience.

Hufflepuffs are frequently looked at as the leftover house, and where this is sort of true as if you do not fit into any of the others Hufflepuff will take you, it doesn't mean that you are not important. A lot of people would not even be able to get into this house because they do not value hard work or fair play as a decent person should.

This house is seen as the nicest and more accepting house. You will always feel welcome if you're in this house and never will you be left out. Once a Hufflepuffs ties have been made then there is very little that could break it apart. Once you have made a friends in Hufflepuff you have made a friends for life as they are not fickle.

Hufflepuffs are seen as a steady, mellow house that are very accepting of everyone. They are not deceitful but nature meaning that if they say something is true then it is - they rarely lie. .

Hufflepuffs, however, can be seen as cowardly as they are not very confrontational. They may be extroverted and friendly but if challenged will back down and submit. But if a Hufflepuff is in a crowd of people the will stick out there opinion till the end so to back up their comrades. But they do not like being in the limelight and so tend to follow trends instead of creating new ones.

Hufflepuffs understand that if you work hard then you will get further and so this means that if they set their minds to doing something they will stay with it.

Hufflepuffs have more of a tolerance of different people and so are most patient when dealing with people with different views. This patience also applies in their work as they are willing to put in a lot of hours to accomplish something where as other would give up after one.

SLYTHERIN!

Slytherin traits: Traditionalism, Resourcefulness, cunning, ambition, leadership qualities, self-Preservation, Shrewdness, Determination, certain disregard for the runs and intelligence.

Slytherin house is known for producing bad wizards but that doesn't mean that if you are accepted into this house you will be inherently evil - Ambition is NOT evil, nor is cunning. Ambition is what gives people drive, which is essential to advancement.

Slytherins are willing to play for the other team once in a while if it benefits them. They are not coy about doing what they need to do to achieve their goals, but sometimes their ambition can get them so caught up that the do not realize what they're doing can hurt people. They might often break rules and manipulate people to get what they need to done.

Slytherins are very good about getting things done because they have the drive to do so and the resourcefulness to be able to complete a difficult task. This is why they are considered good leaders.

They can be more open minded about certain things but then if it interferes with your day to day lives you wouldn't hesitate to reject it. They can be judgmental towards unfamiliar things, which is why they tend to stick with groups they know.

Slytherins tend to hesitate before acting, so as to weigh all possible outcomes before deciding exactly what should be done. You are scared that you will embarrass yourself and so can frequently be on defense when talking to someone, or even the offensive so to prevent people from mocking you.

They tend to deal with their problems on their own rather than expressing their emotions outwardly unless provoked. They are more distrustful than most and can often be viewed as cold.

GRYFFINDOR

Gryffindor traits: bravery, stubbornness, rash, daring, out-going, generious, adventureious, charm and chivalry.

Gryffindors are the 'ideal' house who will put others before themselves and go beyond the call of duty when need be. The are seen as very brave in the face of danger but sometimes they can go over the top or make desistions to rashly causing unneeded conflict.

They are seen to be very charming and out going towards a range of people but can be very closed minded to those they think are 'wrong'. If you don't follow there regeim they could be quite cold and even mean to you. If you get into an argument with a Gryffindor they are less likely to back down.

But they are seen as generous to those who arent as socailly adept to them. If they see someone in the corner of a room, not getting involved, the are likely to help them along by making introductions. This means that they can be good leaders as they are aware of the people around them and give off a warm, inviting atmosphere. Gryffindors tend to be more trusting of people.

Gryffindors are seen as quite proud of who they are and so if someone critises there honour they are likely to pick a fight. They stick up for what they believe in without even slight waver but this can mean that the bigger picture can be lost to them.

Gryffindors can often have a certain disreguard for the rules and do what they think is 'right' dam the consequences. The might often seek out adventure and are really seen to live life to the full. Gryffindors tend to live in the 'now' and don't worry about the 'later'.

Gryffindors in general love being the centre if attention and will often seek it out. They are very socailly adapt but can also be very in-you-face.

RAVENCLAW

Ravenclaw traits: Cleverness, wit, intelligance, individuality and creativity.

Ravenclaws are the most open minded of the houses. They like to be in smaller gatherings of people with the same ability and don't like large gathering. They are the most introverted house as well and this means that they can be looked upon as shy.

They can seem very self obsessed at times but only because they have such an inquisitive mind that means that once they have started on a project they won't give up until its done.

Ravenclaws are ambitious but not for personal gain but for the sake to wanting to know more about the world. The care little for the material aspects of life and prefer to turn to deeper matters.

There open-mindedness means that they excel easier in areas of learning because they don't have stubborn beliefs or principles that can hold one back from understanding new information's.

On the other hand Ravenclaws can find social situations very difficult and can be considered rude when they do not respond to something in specific way e.g. laugh at a joke. They can be disconnected from the rest of humanity even though they tend to have a deeper understanding of it then most.The frequently think outside the box but then this could mean that people don't understand them.

They are good at giving advice, have strong empathy and are avid researchers but if taken out of their comfort zone of books and logic then they can get a bit lost.


.....So I hope this gives you an insight to the Hogwarts houses! You might not agree with some of these and that fair enough but, in all, this is how I see them!

Harry Potter and the Mortality of Time

Hey guys,

So, this is where you need to come if you want to know what's happening with updates for my harry potter fanfiction 'Harry Potter and the Mortality of Time'. I started this fanfiction for NaNoWriMo but I gave up after 14,000 words, but that does mean that I have got a start on the Fanfiction. I have written four chapters so far and am going to up load one a week for four weeks. After that I'll upload at least once a month. If you want to have a read of the first chapter check out my page titled 'Harry Potter and the Mortality of Time' to the left hand of the screen. I have written a quick summary and warnings for my story at the beginning of the chapter and i shall now relate them back to you here.

Summary:AU. Voldermort reins supreme and Harry Potter is the last of the resistance left. In his grief he searches for a way back into the past to rewrite the wrongs and save his loved ones. Canon pairing. TimeTravel fic. Years 1-7.

Firstly, I would like you to thank you for picking my story to give a try and I hope you find what you're looking for. Here are a few facts about the story before you get started:

-No slash. Not against it but don't want to write it.

-Cannon pairings.

-It will be all 1-7 years. I have read some time travel fan fictions where they take ages to go through each year and don't end up finishing the story. I want this story to be realistic and so I only plan to write about the bits significant to the plot and also I would like to get it finished at some point in the future. You have all read Harry Potter before and so know the finer details of each of Harry's school years meaning the bits that aren't very important will be either touched very lightly or not at all. If there are certain points that you think might be interesting to see then I am open to suggestions.

-This will be over 100,000 words in the end, so you won't get bored with undescriptive scenes or poorly characterized people. If you feel that there is something that could be improved by my writing style then please make a suggestion but don't rip it out of me because, remember, this is only a hobby and harsh words are not necessary.

-I would also like to point out that I am well aware that there are 1001 harry potter time travel fan fictions out there and mine probably sounds very familiar. I wanted to have a go at writing one because I enjoyed this type of story. I will try and make it as different as I can and as the story progresses you will find that I have added in some unexpected things. Please, if you think you have read it before, don't like it or are not willing to give it a go, do not leave a review. Negative, pointless reviews can be big downers when you need inspiration to keep going.

-There might be swearing in later chapters and violent situations throughout. So just a warning now.

-I am currently at school doing exams and so they will come first to fan fiction. I will try and get a chapter out once a month at the very least but that might be difficult at times nearer to exams. You can check out my blog on my profile to find updates to what is happening with this story.

-My spelling and grammar might not be amazing and it is possible I would have missed something. If this is the case please point it out to me and I will happily change it. I have a beta,Beany123, (I love her) and so it shouldn't be too bad.

These are here to make sure no tears are shed and all are well and happy. I hope none of these offend you in anyway but please take them into consideration when reading my story. Now I just hope that you enjoy what you read. I shall post updates about what's going on with the story. If I run over a month I shall tell you my problems and solutions so that you aren't in the dark about what's going on.

English speech

Of late I have been reading the hitchhicker guide to the galaxy and for our english oral we had to write a speech on anything in the world. This was my speech:

Subject: How to fly

“The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.” These are the very wise words of Douglas Adam who came up with a very interesting and, so to speck, very accurate way to how to fly. Now there are many different types of flying, both real and meteorically, such as for instance;

1. Mentally (For example, under the influence of drugs or in dreams)

2. Through achievements (‘flying through business’ ‘High flying results’ which can mean you are doing something doing very well, very fast or very easily)

3. And then, of course, actually flying. Lifting off the ground, defying gravity and souring off into the sky. This, is the type of flying I am going to discuses for the other two are so far reachable to humans.

Human can only achieve flying through the help of technology like airplanes, hot air balloons and paragliding. We lack the capability like birds do leave the ground without the help of metal boxes or wicker baskets. But with the right science and availability it is possible to achieve this, theoretically.

Step one, throw yourself at the ground.

Luckily this step is made very easy by the invention of gravity. Well I would say this step is easy but mostly only on your first attempt, for when you have failed to achieve flying and smacked your face very hard into some sort of pavement you tend to not want to try it again. But, all in all, the initial theory of this step is easy to come about and easy to achieve.

Step two, miss.

Now for all those people who have managed to not seriously injure themselves during the first process come onto the next step. This one, undoubtedly, causes many problems as to miss the floor when falling is increasingly hard and extremely improbable. So to achieve this second step you must miss the floor by accident.

Can you honestly say you have ever fallen over and not thought about how fast the ground happens to be coming towards you? It is human nature to put our hand out to stop our selves, or to try move into such a position that would break the least bones and so this makes the accidently missing the ground very hard. If you want to be able to fly then you must be able to get rid of that subconscious thought in your head the tries to protect you breaking yourself. Once this has happened you then need to work on distracting yourself.

If, while hurtling yourself at the floor, you are suddenly distracted by, say, a poster of the new harry potter movie, your house being robbed or with cat next door getting hit by a bus, will begin to hover. This is classed as flying.

Step three, remain flying

The trick to remain flying is to not think about it and let what ever happens happen. Your first attempt at flying will fail epically because as soon as you realize you are flying you will start to think about it, get excited, and come crashing back towards reality. If you manage to not think about it just remember you are as light as a feather, weightless, and because of this your thoughts need to also be weightless also. So lightly think ‘Oh, I think I would like to go to my grandmothers’ and you will start to bob lightly in the direction you wish to go. With a light heart do a back flip or a few swoops and dives and you shall be successfully flying.

And, for step three the most important think you need to know is DON’T WAVE. Do you know what happens when flying people wave? They go flying towards the person they have waved to at a very high speed and the outcome has never been good for either party.

Step four, landing.

When landing you need to remember you had a good run in life and not care too much about being permanently Brocken. Nobody really knows how to land when flying as out of the people who have ever managed to fly they have never really gotten round to landing on purpose. But the theory is just get as close to the ground as possible and think. This should do the trick and land you in a safe-ish manor.

Overall I have concluded that flying is a very tricky business and is to be taken to with the utmost thought. If you are not particularly inclined to want to try flying then I would suggest the metaphorical approach or just stick to metal boxes. Otherwise give it a go and I leave you with the words of Douglas Adams.

Okay, I know I haven't written a new post in a very long time, and I want to say it's because I have nothing to write about but that would be a lie... what’s been going on:

Febuary Album Writing Month...
So I'm a singer song writers and I decided to take the advice of Jess Morgan to have a go... the idea is to write an album of 14 songs over the month, no matter how crap it had to be done. Well, I managed to get 3 done :D and I am very proud of those 3 because they actually sounded like songs!!! I would show you them but there not recorded :( I will have a go at trying to do it on my computer so you can have a hear. If anyone out there happens to be interested in song writing I suggest next year to give it a go!

CREATIVE WRITING COUSRE
Yes, I am back to doing this again: D and it feels great to be back at college writing and be all-creative again! All the people are great and it really helps you find out a lot about your writing style and how to improve in your plot developments and characterisation. In last weeks course we looked at how to find your inner writing voice and that the rawness of it gets refined with more and more practised. We were told that you shouldn't really try to write like other people but just learn from how they do it and adapt that to fit us. With this it has inspired me to be more open and individual in the way I write.

MELIN FANFICTION
Due to the creative writing course I have decided that for the project we have to do over the 10 weeks I am going to write a MERLIN FANFCITON!!!!!!!!! I have already gotten started and am so far quite proud of what I have done. When I write the first chapter I will be sure to put it up on both here and fan fiction. Can't wait to get some response back for my work!

I have probably done much more but I can't think of anything else at the moment... Oh, and I have added a new fan fiction suggestion up so have a look when you have time. :D
